Skin Care For Every Age

Our skin changes as we age, therefore our skincare needs to follow suit. Keeping your skincare routine up to date may seem confusing; fortunately, we are here to help! At K-Beauty UK we have skincare products for all ages, that wows with or without makeup.
Teens commonly struggle with hormone-related acne and oiliness, and a strong skincare routine can be great for battling these symptoms. Start with a face wash to clear dirt and oil from the skin. Look for something gentle to avoid further irritation of the skin. Try a calming serum to soothe inflammation; look for products containing centella-asiatica to fight redness and refresh your complexion. For problem areas, attack breakouts with a good spot treatment or unblock your pores with a purifying face mask.
In your twenties, the focus should be looking after your future skin. Start by adding an SPF to your daily routine to protect from sun-damage and early aging; luckily, we have an amazing range of sunscreens for you to choose from! Then, try adding a serum or ampoule to your routine to enrich the skin with vital nutrients. Ageing usually starts to show in your thirties, so it is important to target these signs of ageing early. Battle the appearance of crow’s feet with an eye cream and try a gentle exfoliant to smooth the skin’s texture and maintain that youthful glow!
Your forties can come with dry and dull skin, but we can help with this. Look out for lotions and essences containing hyaluronic acid or snail mucin to hydrate and brighten the skin. In your fifties, fine lines and wrinkles can appear due to thinning of the skin. A great way to avoid this is by finding an effective moisturiser – ingredients like collagen help to maintain the firmness in the skin for a supple, smooth complexion!

Skin Care Tips I Wish I could Tell My Younger Self

If I could tell my younger self how to care for my skin, I would say to "Use gentler chemicals:
I had acne, so I was constantly plying my face with concoctions loaded with acne-busting ingredients like benzoyl peroxide. Good in theory, sure, but overloading my sensitive skin with harsh products probably made my skin worse than it had to be.“ Rosie Naskari from bustle.com

“Taking just as good care of my neck and décolleté as I did on my face is something I definitely should’ve done sooner.  Being in my mid 30s now, I am seeing signs of aging in those area that I know could have been prevented” - Victoria Styles from Living Disrobed.

“Consider doing regular facial massages at home. It doesn't have to be long, just two minutes. When you apply your moisturizer, massage in an upward and outward motion; don't forget your neck too.” —mmmiu

“Wear eye cream now! Start rocking eye cream in your 20s before those fine lines creep in.  The skin around the eyes is the most thin and therefore shows aging first.  DAB it around your eyes with your ring finger, which applies the least amount of pressure.  I scream you scream we all scream for eye cream” – Renelyn from makeup by Renren

Use sunscreen religiously. Don't worry about getting a tan. Sunscreen! Man, otherwise I was really good to my skin in my 20s, and it looked pretty good, too, but I never wore sunscreen and now I'm seeing the results. I actually didn't realize until a few months ago that what I have is sun damage, until I noticed that my splotchiness stops at my shirt line. I just thought it was weird pale person coloring. SPF 15 in the morning is not enough." Renee Jaques from Allure.
